The data transmission interval and data delay tell our system when to expect data from the data source and devices, allowing for the generation of accurate alerts.
Description |
|
Data transmission interval: How often the data source sends data files |
|
Examples |
|
Data transmission interval: 2 hours Our system will expect to receive data every 2 hours, with the data being no more than 1 hour old. If this is not the case, a "No data" alert is triggered. |
Data transmission interval: 12 hours Our system will expect to receive data every 12 hours, with the data being no more than 30 minutes old. If this is not the case, a "No data" alert is triggered.
|
- A buffer of 15-30 minutes for both values is recommended, to reduce the risk of unnecessary alerts.
- If no values are specified, these default values will be used:
Data transmission interval: 24 hours
Data delay: 30 minutes - It can take up to 12h until changes of delay and interval are considered by the alert system.
- Our alert system differentiates between 2 alert types: "No data" and "No power". If you want to learn more, please go to How does the alert system work.
- Do you want to disable the alert system for an entire site or single devices, you can find more information here: How to disable the alert system for a site or single devices
