Set up FTP push - Meier-NT ADL-MXS

This article describes the FTP push setup of the Meier-NT ADL-MXS series and provides further information

Before you can link your data logger to our portal, you must first have created a site and/or data source in the Solytic portal.


The following explains how to set up FTP transmission:

  1. Ensure that you are in the same network as Meier-NT or that the internet connection via the modem is activated
  2. Open your web browser and enter the IP address in the address field:
    • The current IP address of the ADL-MXS can be displayed via the network view on the data logger
    • For a modem connection, the PC must be connected to the logger via Ethernet cable, and the following IP must be entered into the browser's address bar to access the web interface of the ADL-MXS: 1.1.1.1
  3. Log in to the user interface of the data logger
  4. Navigate on the user interface to Setup on the left side and then click on Web Portal
  5. Set the FTP push function on your ADL-MXS to "Active" and choose Custom for the portal connection
  6. Then enter the credentials from the Solytic data source:
    • FTP server name: ftp://gateway.solytic.com
    • Username: Take from Solytic data source
    • Password: Take from Solytic data source
    • Use active FTP: Disable
    • Interval: 15 - 30 minutes
    • Use modem: Enable
    • Next transmission: Choose a date from the past
  7. Save the configuration

After successful setup of the data transmission, the data will be sent to our FTP server in CSV format. More information:

If you want to display your meter via the Solytic portal, you must add a prefix (Meter-) to the meter name in the configuration of the ADL-MXS with. For example: Original meter name Janitza-B23 to Meter-Janitza-B23. Only then will meters be automatically recognized and processed.
