This article describes the FTP setup for the Suntrol STL 200/400/800 data loggers and provides further information.
The monitoring of the STL loggers is based on backup files, which only provide the previous day's data. Real-time monitoring is not possible due to the logger's software.
Before you can connect your data logger to our portal, you need to create a system and/or data source in the Solytic monitoring portal.
The following steps explain how to set up the FTP transfer:
- Ensure that you are on the same network as the STL logger.
- Open your web browser and enter the logger's IP address in the address bar. The IP address is displayed on the screen during the automatic network detection.
- In the top menu bar, navigate to Configuration.
- In the left navigation menu, click on Internal and then on Backup.
- Menu Header: Configuration // Internal // Backup
- Use the following settings to redirect the automatic data backup to our FTP server:
- Enable data backup.
- FTP Server: gateway.solytic.com
- Username: Retrieve from Solytic data source
- Password: Retrieve from Solytic data source
- Directory: leave blank
- Backup interval: daily
- Save your configuration.
During the night, we will receive the data packets and visualize the previous day's data.
